Natalie and Tommy had a fabulous wedding out in Palm Springs this past May. I have finally got my hands on all of the AMAZING photos and I cannot wait to share them!
I was lucky enough to not only be hired as a coordinator but to help with some decor and floral elements for this wedding. I just loved sitting down with Natalie and Erin (her soon to be sister-in-law at the time, aka mastermind of Elm Style and Design) and talking shop. Natalie’s theme was “farmers market” therefore there was lots of talk of fruit, baskets, eclectic glassware, and fun fresh florals. Her day came together beautifully. Enjoy

Alex and Beau are an absolutely amazing couple! They are so kind and were a joy to work with. I honestly couldn’t have dreamed up a better client. Not only did I get to work with a great couple for this wedding but the vendors were totally fabulous as well. Here are some of the photos… enjoy : )
…Alli Byrne’s hair and make-up team did a wonderful job on all of the ladies!

…The boys wore a yellow ribbon for Beau’s friend who was deployed and couldn’t be there.
…How magnificent is Alex’s bouquet?! It is entirely made out of broaches! Not to mention her incredible Christian Louboutin shoes!
…What a great group of bridesmaids. These girls were o so fabulous and helpful. They also stayed in those 6-inch heels all night long!
…It was a raining morning on their wedding day so a tent had to be put up.
…My favorite picture [↓]
…What a beautiful bride.
…The favors were mini-homemade apple pies!
Congratulations Alex & Beau!!!

With holiday season upon us it is now time to be thinking about the fabulous parties to come. If you are hosting a holiday party this season why not introduce your friends to a new fun drink?
Gummy bear champagne is the new drink you must try!
All you need is some champagne flutes… a bottle of delicious champagne… and a bag or tub of gummy bears!

It is up to you how many or what flavors you want to drop in! Not only does this drink taste amazing but it looks beautiful as well.
The best part is once you are done with your glass you get to eat those yummy gummies!
I did a bridal show a couple weeks ago at the OC Fairgrounds. I was so lucky to be able to share the booth with Alli Byrne. We had both been dying to work together so we figured this would be perfect for us! When deciding on the concept of our booth we decided that the thing that connects us is that we booth work on “the look”. Alli does the bride’s/ bridal party’s look while I work on the event’s look.
Here is our booth : )
It was themed eclectic elegance.. you can see here my inspiration board and some of the fun glassware I used for a mock-centerpiece.
Here is our information table that had our brochures and showcased our specials for the day/ week.
Alli had a hair station in our booth where brides could sit down and try out some bridal hair looks while sitting back and flipping through some bridal magazines and chat with me about their wedding details.
Here is Alli with one of her hair trials.
Here is a close up of the beads we used as a backdrop. They perfectly defined the look I was going for with the booth. They are 31bits. You must check them out!
Alli Byrne is amazing! You must meet her! She is a fabulous hairstylist. I would recommend her for everything from regular salon services to day of bridal styling. Not only is she absolutely amazing at what she does but her glowing personality is intoxicating.
Check out her website.
And trust me you WON’T be disappointed!
Save-the-dates set the tone for the rest of your wedding. Why not start it off in a fun creative way?
Ribbon Reminder

[Open this card, and the details (literally) come spilling out.]
Postcards

[These charming save-the-dates prove good news can come in small packages, too.]
Lighthearted Announcements

[These save-the-date cards convey their message in fun and distinctive ways. A calendar from a stationer starts at the wedding month; the wedding date is circled in red. Photo booth pictures, magnets, or the dreams of a schoolgirl who practiced writing her married name in her notebook all make great themes. Reminder stickers let guests stick your wedding information on their calendars.]
For a Faraway Location

[These ideas play up your locale. Each uses a custom rubber stamp; you can have one made at an office-supply store. Trace your state, make a mini map, or send word on a paper airplane.]
Whimsical Cards

[Even if your wedding will be formal, you can send a lighthearted card. Rubber-Stamp Rebus lets you use colorful clip art to spell out a message. Forget Me Knot plays on the idea that a string will remind guests when you're tying the knot. Confetti (in a glassine envelope) lets family and friends know there's something to celebrate. Lastly, a secret message appears when your guests unfold this special square card.]
Souvenir Cards

[Pique your guests' interest about the wedding location.]
Creative Calendars

[Tell guests you've set a date with a calendar-inspired card. Whether it's a folded calendar, a mini version, a single page, or a simple sentiment on kraft paper, these ideas are hard to forget.]
Pencils

[Instead of sending traditional save-the-date cards, make it easy for guests to "pencil in" your wedding date with customized writing tools perfect for the job.]
Stickers

[Guests are sure to remember your wedding day if all they have to do is peel and stick a reminder to their calendars. You can personalize adhesive labels at home.]
Informational Booklets

[Receiving pertinent information early gives guests time to plan. Clockwise from top left: A slender folder from an office-supply store holds a save-the-date letter, a list of accommodations, and some brochures. A ribbon-bound booklet offers the particulars of wedding-related events: the bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, and so on. This bluebird-and-floral-motif mailing is two-in-one: One card gives the date and place; another names local hotels.]

Want a rose-covered aisle without going over budget? Here is a do-it-yourself idea for an aisle runner.
“Large hurricane vases containing floating candles are placed like so many beacons on either side of a path strewn with rose petals in shades of pink and yellow. If you’re picking from your own garden, pluck them early in the morning, when roses are their freshest.”
It would obviously save you the most money to grow the roses yourself (probably not the best idea unless you have a green thumb or can handle the stress). It could even be a great duty to give to someone who wants to help out with your wedding…offer to pay for the seeds or rose bush if they will care for it for you. However, if either of these options scare you or make you nervous then order the petals from a florist. You will end up still saving money because rose petals are cheeper to get than a full rose stem because they don’t have to be as in good shape especially since you will be walking on them. Also since you are doing the decoration/ setting up yourself it could cut down the price a bit more too.
How absolutely beautiful is this aisle?! I think it would be perfect for a winding aisle through a garden or forest setting. Ahhhhhhhh how I am looking forward to the spring weddings to come!
